dan in real life

·         What are three tips you would give to parents of teenagers.

o   I would tell them that the more you tell them they can’t do something the more they will want to do it so don’t make a big deal out of the little things. Also you need to let them make their own mistakes and don’t try to control every aspect of their lives. Then last of all give them space all they want is to be away from you and if you try to keep them next to you they are going to run.

·         Can you know after three days that you love someone?

o   Yes and no. I believe that you can fall in love after three days but it is premature and you are bound to get hurt if the other person doesn’t feel the same way. But I do believe in love at first sight just not the belief that it will be forever.

·         Where was your best hiding spot as a kid?

o   My best hiding spot as a kid was at my old house in my closet, I had some shelves high up that I could get onto and no one could see me. I also had a hiding spot in my attic but I almost fell through the ceiling so I never hid there again.

·         Describe your perfect day.

o   My perfect day would start with me sleeping in until 10:00 then I would go sky diving then bungee jumping I would the go to Fiji for an afternoon of swimming then I would go to Paris to eat lunch after lunch I would go scuba diving in Australia then I would learn to fly and end the day eating diner in my own home.

·         Are you a good bowler?

o   I like to think I am but I’m a long way away from being a professional.

  1. Your ideas about love and love at first sight are very wise...

I also see a lot of truth in your first tip to parents of teenagers. My son is about to turn 11 and has been throwing cuss words into some of his sentences lately. I've tried to just let it go so the words don't have some kind of taboo appeal to him. If he dropped the F-bomb, however...different story. :)
